TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA") Kansai Company, which operates "TSUTAYA" stores nationwide that rent and sell videos and music, has collaborated with FM802 Inc. to produce an original song featuring a number of artists as part of "FM802 x TSUTAYA ACCESS!" (hereinafter referred to as "ACCESS!"), and will begin renting the CD exclusively at TSUTAYA stores in the Kansai region.
"ACCESS!" is a collaborative project with FM802 that has been running every year since 2006, and was planned with the aim of supporting the start of new lives during the spring season, when many people begin their new lives. This year, to support those who are working hard towards a new stage, we will be proposing ways to meet and connect with people through music.
We have now completed an original song, "Music Train ~Spring Magician~," which conveys the feeling that "we are all connected somewhere."The worldview expressed through the word "train"'s meaning of "connection" suggests a positive attitude towards your new life.
The song features Suga Shikao as the lyricist, composer, and singer, as well as other popular FM802 artists such as Sakurako Ohara, Yohei Kawakami ([Alexandros]), Kosuke Saito (UNISON SQUARE GARDEN), Maguro Taniguchi (KANA-BOON), HARUNA (SCANDAL), Tatsuya Mitsumura (NICO Touches the Walls), and Ryuta Yamamura (flumpool). Additionally, the visual production will be handled by chiaki kohara, an artist from Osaka who won the grand prize at "Canvas @ Sony 2012."
The song will begin airing on FM802 from March 21st, with the music video available for download on April 1st, and the song will be available for rental at TSUTAYA stores in two prefectures and four cities in the Kinki region from April 15th. In addition, there will be a request day every month from March 26th to May, and a campaign will be held where you can win T points by making a request to the program. In the future, TSUTAYA stores will set up a music playlist corner featuring recommendations from artists associated with FM802, as well as hold live events featuring participating artists. *1
TSUTAYA will continue to support the creation of music movements born from the local community and contribute to the revitalization of the music scene by providing a place to convey excitement to customers.
