- Towards improving the value of services for TEPCO and T-CARD customers -
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "T-POINT Japan") today signed a business partnership agreement with Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoki Hirose; hereinafter referred to as "TEPCO") to provide point services.
TEPCO and CCC have built a cooperative relationship through encouraging applications for TEPCO's free online membership site, "Denki Kakeibo," and have now reached the point of entering into a business partnership agreement.
As the first step in this business alliance, TEPCO will introduce "T-POINT," a shared points service used by 53.46 million people (active uniques) nationwide, 7.5 million people (56.4% of the population) in Tokyo (active uniques), and 26.14 million people (55.3% of the population) (active uniques) in the one prefecture and eight prefectures under TEPCO's jurisdiction. TEPCO will also introduce "T-POINT," a shared points service with over 350,000 stores from 122 companies participating. As a result, from January 2016 onwards, customers who use T-CARD will be able to accumulate "T-POINT" as a points service in accordance with the use of various TEPCO services, such as electricity contracts.
Going forward, we will discuss and consider various service collaborations and cooperation, such as sales promotion for electricity contracts with T-POINT partners and electricity sales agents, and will further strengthen our relationship with TEPCO to improve the value of services for customers who use T-CARD.
CCC and T-POINT Japan aim to provide services that are supported and satisfying across a wide range of generations by expanding the T-CARD as a lifestyle platform and by closely linking it with electricity and other lifestyle infrastructure.
*The number of active unique members is the number of active members who have used T-CARD in the past year, and those who have multiple cards are counted as one unique member.
