TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Tokyo headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will begin offering an extended repair warranty for game consoles at all of its stores (※1) that sell games starting Thursday, May 28th. This extended warranty is a service that, for a small joining fee (1,200 yen excluding tax), extends the repair warranty coverage, the same as the standard manufacturer's warranty, for an additional two years for new products and 11 months for used products. Shipping costs for repairs are free (※2), and repairs can be made as many times as necessary during the warranty period. In addition, repair requests can be easily made without visiting the store by simply contacting our dedicated toll-free hotline. TSUTAYA will continue to work to improve its services so that all customers can enjoy themselves with peace of mind.

・Start date: Thursday, May 28th
・Guarantee coverage: New and used game consoles
　 *Game software and controllers are not included.
・Subscription price: 1,200 yen per device (excluding tax)
　*Same for new and used items
Warranty period: New product - 1 year manufacturer's warranty plus 2 years extended, resulting in a 3-year warranty period
　　　　　　Used product: 1-month store warranty extended to 11 months, resulting in a 1-year warranty period
・Warranty details: Only electrical and mechanical failures that occur despite correct use
　*Damage to property is not covered by the warranty.
・Maximum warranty amount: Portable: 20,000 yen, Stationary: 30,000 yen, PS4/XboxOne: 40,000 yen (tax included)
　*If the repair cost exceeds the upper limit, we may arrange for a replacement product.
・Call the repair request desk. No need to visit the store.
　*You will need the warranty card (leaflet + receipt) given to you when you join. (※3)

*1 Participating stores can be found on T-SITE from Monday, June 1st.
*2 Only when using our designated shipping company (Yamato Transport Co., Ltd.)
