Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nakanishi Kazuo; hereinafter referred to as C&E), a member of the Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CCC) Group that operates entertainment businesses such as the planning and production of videos, publishing, and music, and T-MEDIA Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Sakurai Toru; hereinafter referred to as T-MEDIA), a member of the CCC Group that operates the Internet entertainment business, announced today that they will launch a "Video Creator Discovery" program as the first installment of the "TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM," which aims to discover creators who create a variety of entertainment content and provide comprehensive support from production to rental and sales.

About the TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM

Announcement of the launch of

As the first step of TCP, we will begin accepting submissions for "high-quality film proposals = seeds of masterpieces" (proposals that can be turned into films) with the aim of discovering and nurturing creators. As long as the project is for a feature-length live-action film of 60 minutes or more, there are no restrictions on whether the participant is professional or amateur, age, gender, nationality, or educational background.

A final judging session will select one Grand Prize winner and two Runner-up Prize winners, for a total of three works. The awards will provide financial support and production support to complete the works, and will also provide a maximum of 50 million yen in production costs for each work.

Furthermore, the completed film will be available for exclusive rental at TSUTAYA stores nationwide, as well as on TSUTAYA DISCAS and TSUTAYA TV.

In addition, TCP will hold the first event held by T-MEDIA in January 2015.  T-VENTURE PROGRAM  A crowdfunding service run by OneMore Co., Ltd., which won the runner-up prize at "GREEN FUNDING" In conjunction with this, we will be able to widely solicit production funding support from T members and other film fans, allowing them to participate in and support film production.

　Through TCP, the CCC Group will discover new talent that will support the future of the film industry and deliver new films to film fans through TSUTAYA's various services, thereby contributing to the development and revitalization of Japanese cinema.

TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM Overview


・First round of selection
Application period: Tuesday, June 16th, 2015 to Sunday, August 16th, 2015 *Postmark on the day is valid
Judging method: All submitted works will be judged jointly by TSUTAYA staff and the TCP office.

・Second round of judging
　Judging method: Submit a scenario and storyboard based on the proposal submitted for the first round of judging, and a 5-minute video for the final round. After an interview with the TCP producer, the TCP secretariat will hold a joint review

・Final judging
Final judging: Thursday, November 12, 2015
