●The concept is "one book."
This was considered to be the most suitable concept to express the Tsutaya Bookstore brand. By adjusting it to the standard size of a book, it can be stored on a bookshelf. Also, the size is familiar to everyday life, so it blends seamlessly into the space.
●The thickness is only 16mm.
The reason we pursued thinness is to make it easy to carry around in a bag. To make the 16mm thickness possible, we took the time to design the internal structure, including the circuit board, from scratch. In addition to being slim, it also has a built-in high-performance drive that can import the equivalent of one CD (approximately 60 minutes) of lossless audio in approximately seven minutes.
●Simplicity with no waste.
By focusing on functionality and ease of use, unnecessary and excessive elements were eliminated, creating a pure and simple look.
●A matte texture that makes you want to touch it.
The body is finished with a rubber coating. When you touch it with your hands, it feels soft and warm, something you wouldn't expect from an industrial product. In addition, the entire unit is covered with a rubber coating, which acts as a non-slip surface when inserting or removing music CDs.
●Chic “light gray.”
The body color is a chic light gray that suits any user and space. The color is also designed to make dirt less noticeable.
