- A first for convenience stores! Joint points and electronic money on one card -

FamilyMart Co., Ltd. (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Isamu Nakayama, hereinafter referred to as "FamilyMart") and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda, hereinafter referred to as "CCC") will be introducing "T Money," an electronic money system that can be used with T Cards, at approximately 11,400 FamilyMart stores nationwide from Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in a first for a convenience store.
　As a result, from the same day, not only the "FamilyMart T Card" (with or without credit function) issued by FamilyMart, but also your current T Card can be used as "T Money" without any procedures.

As payment methods become more diverse, the number of customers who wish to use electronic money as a more convenient payment method is on the rise. Furthermore, a survey of T Card users also revealed a high demand for "T Money," which allows customers to use points services and make payments at convenience stores with just one T Card.
　CCC, Japan's largest shared points service with a membership base of 53.93 million people (※1), and FamilyMart, which has the largest number of locations of the 124 T Point Alliance companies nationwide at approximately 11,400 stores, have teamed up to introduce "T Money," which they believe will cater to a variety of shopping situations and contribute to further improving convenience for customers.

(*1) Number of "active" (= those who have used T Points in the past year) and "unique" (= those who have multiple T Cards are counted as one person) members

With just one T Card, you can enjoy great deals with T Points and convenient shopping with T Money!

"T Money" is a prepaid electronic money service that adds electronic money functionality to the T Card. No special procedures are required, and you can simply load cash onto your existing T-Card. The charged T Money can be used at T Money affiliated stores, including FamilyMart stores nationwide.

We are running a "T Money" launch campaign!

To commemorate the launch of the "T Money" service at FamilyMart, we will be holding the "T Money Start Campaign" (*2), where anyone who charges their "T Money" at the register of any FamilyMart store nationwide from Tuesday, June 30th to Monday, August 3rd, 2015, will be entered into a lottery to win T Points, including up to 10,000 points.

(※2) T points can only be earned once per person through this campaign.
