Asahiya Bookstore and T Point Japan partner on T Point service

We are pleased to announce that Asahiya Bookstores Co., Ltd. (Head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Shigeru Hayashima; hereinafter referred to as "Asahiya Bookstores") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") have entered into a points program agreement.

Asahi Shoten, which operates Asahi Shoten bookstores throughout Japan, and T Point Japan, which operates T Points, Japan's largest shared points service used by 54.31 million people, or approximately one-third of Japan's population*1, will provide the T Points service when shopping at Asahi Shoten, with the aim of further improving convenience and service for customers of both companies.

The T-Point service*2 at Asahi Bookstore is scheduled to begin gradually from October 2015.

We will provide further information about the service as soon as it is decided.

*1 As of the end of June 2015, this is the number of active and unique members who have used T Points in the past year and have multiple T Cards, counting them as one person.
*2 Some stores may not be eligible for this service.
