- Aiming to build a new entertainment media platform while leveraging each company's strengths -
On July 17, 2015, Power to the People Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Maeda Hiroshi; hereinafter referred to as PTTP) entered into a capital and business alliance with Culture Entertainment Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Nakanishi Kazuo; hereinafter referred to as Culture Entertainment) and Hot Stuff Promotion Inc. (Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Nagata Tomozumi; hereinafter referred to as Hot Stuff Promotion).
On March 20, 2015, PTTP inherited all business related to Rolling Stone Japan from Atomixmedia Inc. (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Makoto Takano) through a new incorporation-type spin-off, becoming the licensee and publisher.
Rolling Stone magazine was founded in the United States in 1967 and, under the leadership of its editor and publisher Jann Wenner, who is still active today, has expanded globally for nearly half a century as a media outlet that exerts a huge influence on the cultural scene, from politics to music. Currently, including the original edition, it is published in 16 countries around the world (Australia, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Indonesia, South Africa, India, and Japan). We are expanding our business into publishing, events, and web businesses, and are operating as a comprehensive media brand that goes beyond publishing. Going forward, the Japanese edition will further strengthen its web and event businesses, with publishing as its core business, and aim to spread Japanese culture to the world by leveraging Rolling Stone's international network.
Through this capital alliance, in order to build a multi-dimensional media brand, CCC will advance business collaboration with Culture Entertainment, which is involved in publishing and content businesses within the CCC Group, and Hot Stuff Promotion, which plans and produces numerous live events, including outdoor festivals and stadium performances. By doing so, CCC aims to build a new entertainment media while leveraging the strengths of each company.
We will continue to strive to further develop our business.
We hope to receive your continued support in the future.
