TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA) Tokai Company, which operates TSUTAYA in the Tokai region, and Tokai Radio Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tokai Radio), which broadcasts AM radio in the three Tokai prefectures, have collaborated to launch the radio program "TOKAIRADIO x TSUTAYA LIFESTYLE MUSIC 929," which will begin broadcasting on October 6th.

In order to boost the music scene, TSUTAYA has been supporting local musicians since 2014. We held in-store live performances and handshake events in stores in each region to support new musicians in the Shikoku and Tohoku regions, and received a great response from customers.

This time, TSUTAYA Tokai Company and Tokai Radio aim to expand the music listening environment to people in the Tokai region, so that they can enjoy music as a more familiar part of their lives, by introducing local musicians and working together to create new programs to revitalize the music scene.

This program will feature five groups, including musicians from the Tokai region, as hosts from Tuesday to Friday, and will provide daily information on music that influences listeners' lifestyles and will further liven up the Tokai region's music scene. In addition to the existing AM 1332 kHz broadcast, Tokai Radio will also be broadcasting simultaneously on the newly launched FM 92.9 MHz. (Scheduled to start sequentially)

Furthermore, approximately 80 TSUTAYA stores in the Tokai region will link the radio program with the sales floor by setting up a corner in-store featuring the songs introduced on the program, and both will work together to suggest music that suits listeners' lifestyles.

TSUTAYA and Tokai Radio will continue to support the creation of music movements in the region and contribute to the revitalization of the music scene by utilizing radio waves and physical stores to provide customers and listeners with opportunities to connect with music that will move them.
