Starting this year, Yahoo! Japan Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Yahoo! JAPAN), FamilyMart Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as FamilyMart), SoftBank Corp. (hereinafter referred to as SoftBank), TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA), and T-Point Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as T-Point Japan) have designated November 11th as "Good (11) Shopping Day" and will hold a "Shopping Festival" as an initiative that transcends the boundaries of each company. Starting November 3, 2015, large-scale sales and campaigns will be rolled out sequentially at stores and services, both physical and online, operated by T-Point partners Yahoo! JAPAN, FamilyMart, SoftBank, and TSUTAYA.

"Good Shopping Day" is an initiative to give customers the joy of having made a good purchase and to stimulate the domestic economy by designating a specific day on which many sellers simultaneously hold sales and campaigns. We hope to create a major event that will spread the joy of "good shopping" throughout Japan, both in person and online.

This year, Yahoo! JAPAN, one of Japan's largest portal sites, FamilyMart, a major convenience store chain with 17,212 stores both domestically and internationally (※1), SoftBank, which provides mobile phone services (approximately 44 million subscribers (※2)), and TSUTAYA, an entertainment shop with 1,450 stores nationwide (※3), have teamed up to bring "Good Shopping Day" to approximately 127 million people in Japan, including the 55.56 million people (※4) who use T Points. With the keyword "good shopping" - where customers can get great deals on everyday items and find what they want - we have prepared a variety of sales and points campaigns, including a cross-company T-Point return campaign.

This initiative will initially be held at T-Point partner stores Yahoo! JAPAN, FamilyMart, SoftBank, and TSUTAYA, but from next year onwards, we hope to invite all like-minded people who are committed to promoting "good shopping" in Japan to participate and further promote the initiative, regardless of whether they are T-Point partners or not.
