- Commemorating the release of the blockbuster film "Paddington," which grossed over 32 billion yen worldwide -

T-MEDIA Holdings Inc. (Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Nakanishi Kazuo; hereinafter referred to as "T-MEDIA"), an online entertainment business within the CCC Group, and Zawatt Inc. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Harada Daisaku; hereinafter referred to as "Zawatt"), which operates the brand-name goods auction service "Smaoku", are pleased to announce that they will begin jointly offering the "Smaoku Charity Auction" as a collaborative project to commemorate the Japanese release of "Paddington", a smash hit that has grossed over 32 billion yen worldwide.

This is the main visual for the charity auction.

This first "Smaoku Charity Auction" will be held to commemorate the Japanese release of "Paddington," a live-action film based on the popular children's novel series "Paddington Bear," which has been translated into over 40 languages and sold a total of 35 million copies worldwide. The film was produced by the producers of "Harry Potter."

The one-of-a-kind "Paddington statue" will be exhibited wrapped in a tenugui (Japanese hand towel) designed in collaboration with tenugui specialty shop "Kamawanu" by the famous voice cast of the Japanese dubbing version, including Tori Matsuzaka, who plays Paddington, Yoshino Kimura, Arata Furuta, Yuki Saito, and Natsume Mito, as well as AI, who sings the Japanese theme song, and the production team from the UK.

There are eight different tenugui designs in total, all of which are different, and the statues on display will be on display at eight major Tokyu Line stations for a limited time from December 23, 2015 to January 17, 2016. A charity auction was also held in the UK when the film was released last year, and one bronze statue was sold for 3 million yen. In Japan, the Paddington statue and original tenugui towel will be delivered as a set.
All proceeds from this auction will be donated to organizations that benefit children.

Going forward, T-MEDIA and Zawat will continue to offer a wide range of lifestyle suggestions to enrich the lives of their customers through the provision of "Smaoku Charity Auction" and other services.
