DSP "ONE by AOL" begins advertising based on purchasing trends

CCC Marketing Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC Marketing), a wholly owned subsidiary of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC), has partnered with AOL Platforms Japan Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shigeharu Hanasaki; hereinafter referred to as AOL Platforms) to provide an advertising distribution service using category data estimated from actual purchasing behavior held by CCC and CCC Marketing on "ONE by AOL," a demand-side platform (hereinafter referred to as DSP) provided by AOL Platforms Japan. AOL Platforms plans to begin offering this advertising delivery service in early February 2016.

This advertising distribution service creates "interest categories" and "demographic categories" based on gender and age, estimated from the purchasing behavior of physical stores owned by CCC and CCC Marketing, and can be used for advertising distribution through "ONE by AOL."This will make it possible to generate categories and deliver advertisements that were previously not possible using web behavior data alone.
