Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") have entered into a business alliance with Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoki Hirose; hereinafter referred to as "TEPCO") on May 20, 2015. As of January 8, 2016, the two companies will be launching a service that allows customers to earn T Points as part of a campaign to apply for TEPCO's "Premium Plan" (two-year contract). In addition, the T-Point service for electricity bills under new rate plans, including the "Premium Plan," is scheduled to begin in April 2016.
The "Premium Plan" (2-year contract) application campaign will run from January 8 to March 31, 2016, and those who select T Points and apply during the campaign period will receive 12,000 T Points. Additionally, starting January 15, 2016, anyone who applies for Tokyo Electric Power Company's new rate plan online will receive 500 T Points.
The T-Point service for electricity charges under the new rate plan, scheduled to begin in April 2016, will allow customers to earn 5 points for every 1,000 yen of electricity charges (excluding consumption tax, renewable energy generation promotion levy, late payment interest, etc.) after applying online*. Once you have completed the application process, you will automatically receive T-Points without any further procedures. T Points will be awarded in a lump sum from the month the new rate plan is signed up for, starting around September 2016.
The accumulated T Points can be used at T Point partner stores nationwide, such as FamilyMart, TSUTAYA, and Gusto, with 1 point equaling 1 yen.
CCC and T Point Japan will continue to expand the T Card as a lifestyle platform into services that are closely linked to daily infrastructure such as electricity, aiming to create services that are supported and satisfying across a wide range of generations.
*You will need a login ID (free registration) for the T Site [T Points/T Card] with a valid T Card number registered.
