Culture Entertainment Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuo Nakanishi), U-NEXT Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasuhide Uno), and My Theater D.D. Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akira Ishii) are pleased to announce that they have jointly established a new company, Culture Next Production Inc., to handle video planning and production.

Background and purpose of establishing the new company
Considering the current video market, physical and digital video viewing environments are being created to suit each lifestyle. As a result, there is a greater need than ever for content that is original and engaging regardless of the viewing environment. Furthermore, production sites are no longer limited to the traditional production of movies and TV dramas; production by distribution companies is also on the rise, and new production sites that go beyond constraints are being sought.
In this environment, the new company will plan and produce original content in-house, leveraging the strengths of each company's network and know-how to expand its range of content and improve the convenience of viewing environments that can be selected to suit each lifestyle.
The new company will utilize the know-how of Culture Entertainment Inc., which handles video copyright and production businesses, to plan and produce original dramas and anime content. Additionally, the company will offer rental and sales services utilizing the platform of the CCC Group company. Furthermore, we will also focus on the distribution business, leveraging the strengths of U-NEXT, Inc., which provides video distribution and broadband communication environments, and My Theater D.D., Inc., which handles digital distribution-related operations for video content. The lineup of works will be released sequentially as soon as they are decided.
