We are pleased to announce that Brie Larson, the lead actress in the theatrical release "Room" (distributed by GAGA), presented by Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (CE), a private brand business in the entertainment field that is part of the Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (CCC) group and which plans and produces films, music, and books, and GAGA Corporation, has won the Academy Award for Best Actress at the 88th Academy Awards.

CE, part of the CCC Group, has been purchasing films since last year's "Whiplash" (released in Japan in 2015) in order to allow more movie fans to see interesting films, and has been working on promotions at the time of release, such as in-store displays and campaigns to collect comments from fans. Furthermore, to coincide with the release of the packaged film, the film was heavily sold at 1,459 TSUTAYA stores nationwide under the CCC Group in order to broaden the base of movie fans, and promotions were conducted linking in-store and online, resulting in an unprecedented number of viewers reaching over 1 million.

In order to deliver the excitement of entertainment to as many customers as possible, CCC will use the group's strengths in promotions to promote films from the time of their theatrical release, and will provide movie fans with entertaining and moving films, regardless of the scale of the production.
