-T Points and T Money launched at Japan's largest drugstore chain!-
CFS Corporation, a member of the Welcia Holdings Group (hereinafter referred to as the "Welcia Group") (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Miyashita Yuji), and T Point Japan, a member of the Culture Convenience Club Group (hereinafter referred to as the "CCC Group") (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masuda Muneaki), have partnered on the "T Point" shared point service, and will begin the T Point service at all 306 Hack Drug drugstores operated by CFS Corporation from Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
With the launch of the T Point service, customers with a T Card can earn 1 T Point for every 108 yen (tax included) spent when shopping at Hack Drug, and can use the accumulated T Points for shopping at Hack Drug, with 1 point being worth 1 yen. In advance of the launch of the T Point service, Hack Drug stores are issuing original design T Cards to customers who do not currently have a T Card.
Furthermore, starting Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Welcia Group companies Welcia Pharmacy Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Mizuno Hideharu), CFS Corporation, and Shimizu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; President and CEO: Ishida Shinji) have decided to introduce T-Money, an electronic money service operated by CCC Group company T-Money Corporation (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Natsume Eiji), at their respective drugstore chains: Welcia, Hack Drug, and Welcia Ducks. This will allow "T Points" and "T Money" to be used at some of Japan's largest drugstore chains.
"T Money" is a prepaid electronic money service that adds electronic money functionality to the T Card. No special procedures are required, and you can simply load cash onto your existing T-Card. The charged T Money can be used at T Money affiliated stores nationwide, including Welcia Group drug stores. You can also earn T Points based on the amount of your T Money payments, making this a great service that allows you to earn double T Points: shopping points and payment points.
By introducing "T Points" and "T Money," the Welcia Group aims to provide highly convenient services across its store networks, and to utilize the T Points database to create better stores and improve customer satisfaction through a wider product lineup.
By expanding the number of situations in which "T Points" and "T Money" can be used in everyday life, the CCC Group aims to create new value through the "T Card," a common ID that can be used by anyone, anywhere, anytime, for anything.
