The new Tagajo City Library is based on the concept of a "home" where citizens live and gather. It can be used in a variety of ways, such as spending time with family, meeting friends, or studying alone, and it can be a place for everyone. The three-story building also has an adjacent shopping area, which will house Tsutaya Bookstore (the first in Tohoku), Starbucks Coffee, FamilyMart!! (the first in Tohoku), and the cafe and restaurant PUBLIC HOUSE.

<9 Features of Tagajo City Library>

1) A cozy library that feels like home – the first floor is a living room, the second floor is a study, and the third floor is a study room.

When planning the new library, we asked Tagajo residents in a survey about the kind of library they would like to have, and many of them said it should be a "comfortable space."With this in mind, the first floor of the library is stocked with materials related to food, clothing, shelter, and daily life, creating a relaxing space like a living room. The second floor is a study-like space with a newspaper section and books on literature, humanities, art, and other subjects. The third floor provides a quiet and focused environment for reading books and doing research for study, research, or work.

4) The seating capacity is 299. We have created a library where you can stay. (400 seats in the entire complex) 5) A kids' library has been set up. The reading space is semi-open, making it easy for first-time users to participate and allowing children to concentrate. Picture book author Ryoji Arai has painted artwork on the walls, which can be enjoyed by both children and adults. It is also equipped with a kids' terrace and nursing room, making it a friendly environment for those raising children.
