TSUTAYA Co., Ltd., which operates approximately 1,470 TSUTAYA stores nationwide, held the awards ceremony for the 10th Japan Mobile Phone Novel Awards, which is organized in collaboration with the Mainichi Shimbun Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yutaka Asahina) and Starts Publishing Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shuichi Kikuchi), at 1:00 PM today, Friday, March 25th, at Pasela Resorts Grande Shibuya.
The Japan Mobile Phone Novel Awards began in 2006, when mobile phone novels were not yet widely known, and this year marks its 10th anniversary. TSUTAYA has participated in the TSUTAYA Awards since the very first year, and has contributed to the development of a new novel culture by selecting entertaining novels that can captivate a wide range of generations, from junior high and high school students to adults, regardless of genre, such as romance, suspense, or horror. This award has helped to establish mobile phone novels in society, with past winners including "Clearness," "White Jersey," and "Atashi Kanojo" producing numerous hits.
This year's theme for the 10th Japan Mobile Novel Award was "The Strongest School Story Ever," and the total number of submissions reached 1,579. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the awards, and Link's "Honey-Colored Sun" became the first novel to win three awards at the same time: the Grand Prize, the TSUTAYA Award, and the Book Pass Award, achieving a triple win.

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture on March 20th. While working as a designer, he made his debut as an author in 2013, publishing works such as "Dating Strategy Guide" (published by KADOKAWA). This work won the 10th Japan Mobile Novel Award, the TSUTAYA Award, and the Book Pass Award. She is currently continuing her writing career while raising her children.

Mizuki, a second-year high school student, is allergic to ultraviolet rays and therefore avoids sunlight. One day, during swimming class, Mizuki sees Haru, the tough and handsome boy in school, playing with a cat, and collapses from an allergic reaction. Haru carries her to the nurse's office in a princess carry, and rumors start to spread around the school that they might be dating. Fearing bullying from a girl who likes Haru, Mizuki asks him to protect her in exchange for letting her keep Haru's beloved cat at home. The two become a fake boyfriend and girlfriend...?! The ending is the most heart-pounding and moving school love story ever!!

When I finished reading it, my heart was filled with both happiness and sadness. You'll be touched by Yo's gentle side and encouraged by Mizuki's straightforwardness! Seeing how hard the two of them work will surely inspire you to try your best too. I'm sure it will give you the courage to take that next step, so I hope you'll read it!

I liked the straightforward and strong main character. The villains are also well-drawn. There were several climaxes which was fun. The final mystery was brilliantly solved, answering all the questions I had along the way in a way that made sense. The choice of words in the dialogue was interesting. I was a little concerned about the extensive use of difficult kanji characters, but the writing itself was smooth.

It was so expressive that images came to mind over and over again, drawing me in. It was a highly entertaining work with many highlights, including events that are essential to school life. I was able to empathize with the characters as I read, and I hope that many people will read this book.
Not only will the paperback edition of this work be released by Starts Publishing today, Friday, March 25th, but to commemorate the release, TSUTAYA will be launching a campaign to give away an electronic version of the TSUTAYA-exclusive digital version of "The Main Story (with an Original Short Story)."In addition, the comic book version has begun publication and distribution in "Spring Extra Edition Ribon Special" and "Margaret BOOK Store."
