Hirakata T-SITE, operated by Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC), will open in front of Hirakata-shi Station on the Keihan Railway on May 16, 2016.
TSUTAYA, which our company operates, was founded in Hirakata City 33 years ago in 1983.
As a token of gratitude to the place where the store was founded, the newly opened Hirakata T-SITE will house 43 unique lifestyle shops, with TSUTAYA and TSUTAYA BOOKS at its core. It will be a groundbreaking department store that offers the convenience of being open from 7am until 1:00am, the comfort of the BOOK & CAFE, where customers can relax and read with a cup of coffee in one of the 300 chairs located on the first to fifth floors, and the fun of being able to easily make restaurant reservations and get entertainment information on your smartphone.
We offer the finest styles for everyday use that will brighten up your life and accompany you in your daily life.
Hirakata T-SITE's 10 Features
1) Open from 7am to 1:00am.
Freshly baked bread is available as soon as the shop opens at 7am. Customers who arrive late after work can also enjoy a glass of wine at the bar. *Business hours vary by store.
2) Department stores where you can earn and use T-POINT.
T-POINT can be earned and used at approximately 40 stores throughout the building, excluding banks. You can also use electronic money "T-MONEY".
3) You can enjoy Hirakata T-SITE even more with just your smartphone.
Hirakata T-SITE is a cutting-edge department store that combines digital services. By using the dedicated app "T-SITE Passport," you can not only use your smartphone as a T-CARD, but also quickly check reviews of books available at TSUTAYA BOOKS, check parking availability, and even make restaurant reservations.
4) All top floor restaurants have spacious terraces.
Hirakata T-SITE is full of food suggestions. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air on the first floor, and there is a buffet restaurant on the second floor where you can enjoy organic vegetables. TSUTAYA BOOKS also has the largest food book section in Japan, with 8,000 books. On the top floor, there are Japanese, Western and Chinese restaurants, all of which have terrace seating. Hirakata TSUTAYA BOOKS, located on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th floors, has a collection of 150,000 books and magazines, which you can browse in comfort while enjoying coffee or other drinks at the BOOK & CAFE seats on the 1st to 5th floors.
6) You can enjoy entertainment to the fullest.
TSUTAYA, born in Hirakata, delivers the best entertainment. The second floor is the new home of TSUTAYA Hirakata Ekimae Main Branch, and offers a wide range of products, including DVDs, CDs, analogue music such as records and enka cassettes, and comic rentals.
TSUTAYA BOOKS have concierges on-site to assist you with choosing books and gifts.
7) There is an indoor play area, so even on rainy days, kids and moms can smile.
On the 5th floor, there are indoor play equipment and a play area for babies. We have 20,000 picture books and children's books available, and the largest selection of pop-up books in the Kansai region.
