-Presented by "TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM 2016" "Tell TSUTAYA your passion for movies at Night★" event to be held!-

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide as part of the CCC Group, and Culture Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "C&E"), which operates the planning and production of video, publishing, and music, will be holding a free event to commemorate the "TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM 2016" (hereinafter referred to as "TCP"), which discovers creators who create video content and provides comprehensive support from production to rental, sales, and distribution, as well as an overview of the TCP and an opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to ask questions and exchange opinions with film producer Osamu Kubota and the first TCP award winners.

TCP was conceived and realized from the idea of a TSUTAYA employee who appeared as a panelist in a lecture titled "The Film is Finished, But," aimed primarily at young filmmakers at the 2013 Tokyo International Film Festival. This project was launched from the idea that "there must be something TSUTAYA can do" in response to the current concerns that many creators shared with us during the course, such as "I have an idea for a movie I want to make, but I don't know how to make it a reality" and "I have no place to sell the work I film."

Through TCP, TSUTAYA hopes to be a bridge between creators and customers, helping to bring film projects that creators want to create and film works that have remained hidden and forgotten to movie fans.

This event will feature the two runner-ups from the first TCP, who will share their thoughts on their application, the efforts they made to win the award, and their current production status, along with their expectations for future TCP. We will also be answering questions and passionate thoughts from the participants. Registration and participation are free, so we look forward to seeing many of you there.
