T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (President and COO: Kazuhiko Kitamura, hereinafter referred to as "TPJ") and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President and CEO: Satoshi Katsuno, hereinafter referred to as "Chubu Electric Power") are pleased to announce that they have today agreed to a business partnership to link the shared points service "T-POINT" (hereinafter referred to as "T-POINT") with Chubu Electric Power's home web service "Kateene" (hereinafter referred to as "Kateene").

Through this business partnership, Kateene members who use T-POINT will be able to exchange their T-POINT for Kateene Points and automatically use them to pay their Chubu Electric Power electricity bills*. This service, which allows T-POINT to be used to pay electricity bills, is the first of its kind among electric power companies nationwide.

In addition, Kateene members will be able to exchange their Kateene Points for T-POINT. In addition to being able to use the points for the traditional purposes of exchanging them at public transportation, shopping malls, convenience stores, etc. in various regions of the Chubu area, after exchanging them for T-POINT, they can also be used at a wide variety of T-POINT affiliated stores across the country, allowing you to use your points in a variety of situations that are closely related to your daily life.
This points mutual collaboration service will be the first initiative by Chubu Electric Power.

Through this business partnership, customers who have electricity contracts with Chubu Electric Power in the Chubu area and the greater Tokyo area will be able to link their T-POINT with Kateene Points, expanding the ways in which points can be used by the more than 34 million T Members in the Chubu and greater Tokyo areas.

Going forward, we will leverage the customer bases and strengths of both Chubu Electric Power and TPJ, and utilize T-POINT data for various data analyses in the electricity business and other areas to fully grasp customer needs, strive to improve and diversify services, and meet customer expectations.

*To be used to pay electricity bills, this service is available to those who have subscribed to the new rate plans introduced in April 2016, such as the Point Plan, Otoku Plan, Tokutoku Plan, Smart Life Plan, Living Support Set, and Kateene Plan (for customers within the Tokyo Electric Power Company area), as well as the optional contract plans, such as the E-Life Plan, Time Plan, Peak Shift Lighting, and Low Voltage High Usage Contract.
