TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA), which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will begin issuing the "STAR WARS x T-CARD" featuring the popular droid "BB-8" from the movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" from Thursday, July 7, 2016.

BB-8, the character featured in this design, is a new character introduced in the latest Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was released worldwide on December 18th last year. As a ball-shaped droid who adventures with the heroine Rey, BB-8 holds an important role in the story. This adorable round body design will now be available as a T-CARD.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which became available for rental on Star Wars Day, May 4th, was rented by over 600,000 people in the approximately one month since its release, making it a widely watched film. (Survey period: from rental start date to June 4, 2016)

TSUTAYA has always offered customers the joy and pleasure of encountering movies and the insight into the world that can only be experienced through movies, and to help them enjoy the hugely popular Star Wars even more, they will be issuing the STAR WARS x T-CARD.

　　*Issues will end as soon as stock runs out.
・TSUTAYA Online Shopping acceptance period: Today to Wednesday, July 6, 2017
　　*If you apply by Wednesday, July 6th, 2016, your card will arrive after Thursday, July 7th.
・Card issuance fee: 500 yen (excluding tax)
　　*TSUTAYA rental registration fees may be charged separately.
