TSUTAYA Co., Ltd., which plans various lifestyle suggestions through entertainment, will commemorate the June 30th release of the essay "You Are There Now, You Can See the Crossroads" by Kitakata Kenzo, a master of hard-boiled literature and a leading author of Chinese historical epic novels, by holding a signing event at TSUTAYA TOKYO ROPPONGI (July 25th) and setting up a film corner related to the essay at five TSUTAYA stores nationwide from early July.

This is a refreshing essay in which the passionate evangelist Kitakata Kenzo talks freely about life, sharing encounters and partings, stories from his nearly 70 films, as well as music, travel, and alcohol.
Starting in early July, Kitakata Kenzo, who has a deep knowledge of film, will be releasing a selection of films recommended by him in the video rental sections of TSUTAYA TOKYO ROPPONGI, SHIBUYA TSUTAYA, TSUTAYA Nishi-Gotanda store, TSUTAYA Abenobashi store, and TSUTAYA BOOK STORE TENJIN.
Through this initiative, we hope to inspire film fans to read the book, and that customers who read it will watch the film, providing an opportunity for them to reexamine their own lives and enrich their lives.
