- Commemorating the release of the Blu-ray and DVD of "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan"! -
TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Kazuo Nakanishi / hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA), which operates 1,464 TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will be issuing stylish Doraemon-designed T-CARDs in TSUTAYA stores from Monday, August 1, 2016, to commemorate the release of the hit film "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan" on Blu-ray and DVD (August 10, 2016), which was released this spring. These cards feature Doraemon's face on the entire surface, making them a delight for both adults and children. In addition, TSUTAYA Online will begin accepting applications for issuance starting today.

This summer, TSUTAYA will be proposing a "Summer Vacation to Enjoy with Your Child" by offering an exciting experience where you can discover and appreciate films, music, and books with your children. The T-CARD features a design of "Doraemon," popular with a wide range of generations from children to adults, and offers a variety of benefits that parents and children can enjoy together, such as a chance to win a "Doraemon Fun Set" by issuing the card.
In addition, from the date of card issuance, TSUTAYA will be selling "Doraemon My Bags" with an original TSUTAYA design as rental bags. The designs come in two varieties: blue, which matches the card design, and black, with a Doraemon design as a focal point. You can also use it as a matching bag when going out during the summer holidays when you will be spending more time with your children.
TSUTAYA will continue to strive to offer lifestyle ideas that will deepen the bond between parents and children through entertainment.

[Story] Nobita and his friends decide to run away from home and use a time machine to travel to a deserted Japan 70,000 years ago. After creating their own paradise in primitive Japan and having a blast, Nobita and his friends decide to go home, but for some reason they end up meeting a primitive man named Kukuri in the present day. It seems he got caught up in a space-time turbulence and ended up in the present day. Then, the Hikari tribe, to which Kukur's family belongs, was attacked by the Spirit King Gigazombie and the Kurayami tribe. The five of them return to the primitive era with Kukur and rise up to save the Hikari tribe! The greatest runaway in history begins the greatest adventure in history!
