-The Mercedes-Benz Lifestyle Lounge, a showroom without cars, will open for a limited time from July 13th inside Daikanyama T-SITE. A special exhibition will be held to commemorate the opening for three days from July 13th to 15th.

Mercedes-Benz Japan Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kintaro Ueno, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "MBJ") and CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Noburu Takeda, hereinafter "CCCMK"), a subsidiary of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "CCC"), are pleased to announce that following the signing of an agreement between MBJ and CCC in January 2016, they have begun a collaborative project in the areas of sales promotion and marketing.

The Mercedes-Benz Lifestyle Lounge is a "car-free showroom" that uses digital tools to allow people to experience the Mercedes brand, primarily in urban areas and other crowded spaces. A prototype will be open for a limited time from July 13th to September 13th inside Daikanyama T-Site Books. Specifically, the venue will offer customers a high-quality lifestyle that involves living with their car through product experiences using VR (virtual reality), configurators and digital signage, as well as displays of Mercedes-Benz books and original goods. Product experts with extensive knowledge of Mercedes products will be stationed within the lounge to answer any questions customers may have about the products. We also offer a free test drive program called "Trial Cruise," allowing you to enjoy a test drive of a Mercedes-Benz or Smart vehicle at your leisure. In addition, to commemorate the opening, an exhibition will be held at the T-Site Garden Gallery for three days from July 13th to 15th, divided into four eras: past, present, near future, and future, which will give a glimpse into the 130-year history of Mercedes-Benz and future lifestyles.

In addition, by utilizing the lifestyle database owned by CCCMK and the marketing know-how it has cultivated over the years, the company will be able to fully convey the appeal of Mercedes-Benz, thereby promoting and penetrating the brand to new customer segments. To coincide with the launch of this initiative, starting July 15th, Mercedes-Benz will become the first automotive brand to issue its own original design T-CARDs at authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships and Mercedes-Benz Connection locations nationwide. Going forward, we will position the T-CARD as one of the communication tools that connects Mercedes-Benz with our customers.
