(hereinafter referred to as "C&E"), which operates entertainment businesses such as the planning and production of video, publishing, and music, are pleased to announce that actress Kyoka Suzuki, who continues to have a wide range of success, has been selected as a final judge for the "TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM 2016" (hereinafter referred to as "TCP"), which discovers creators who create a variety of entertainment content and provides comprehensive support from production to rental, sales, and distribution.

Kyoka Suzuki is currently playing the role of Yasune (Kita no Mandokoro) in the NHK historical drama "Sanada Maru," and as one of Japan's leading actresses, she has won numerous awards, including the Japan Academy Award for Best Actress and the Japan Film Critics Award for Best Actress, and her acting spirit has captured the hearts of movie fans. This time, we asked Kyoka Suzuki, who is attracting attention not only within the film industry but also among general movie fans, to share her opinions from two perspectives as a leading Japanese actress: as an actor and as a woman.
Kyoka Suzuki, who places great importance on film planning and scriptwriting, has a passion for film that resonates with TCP's philosophy of unearthing the "seeds of masterpieces" and nurturing creators, which is why she decided to participate.

Born on May 31, 1968, in Miyagi Prefecture.
His major appearances include "119" (1994), "Radio Time" (1997), "39: Article 39 of the Criminal Code" (1999), "Ryuma's Wife, Her Husband, and Her Lover" (2002), "Blood and Bones" (2004), "The Unbroken Sun" (2009), "Kiyosu Conference" (2013), "Judge!" (2014), "I Want to Save You" (2014), and "Mother's Tree" (2015), among many others. In September of this year, he will appear in the play "Family Foundations: The Daidouji Family," produced by M&Oplays.

TCP2016 received a total of 375 applications, and after a first round of judging by TSUTAYA staff, the projects were selected to proceed to the second round. The creators of the selected works will then be tasked with writing a screenplay for the film, and will then meet with producers active in the film industry at the second round of judging in early October. Those who pass the rigorous screening will then give a presentation at the final judging session, in front of the judges, including Kyoka Suzuki, in which they will express their thoughts about their project.
We would also like to inform you that the final judging session will be held at Yebisu Garden Hall on Thursday, November 10th.
Through TCP, the CCC Group will discover new talent that will support the future of the film industry and deliver new films to film fans through TSUTAYA's various services, thereby contributing to the development and revitalization of Japanese cinema.

・First round of selection
Application period: Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 to Monday, June 13th, 2016 *Applications closed
Judging method: All submitted works will be judged jointly by TSUTAYA staff and the TCP office.
・Second round of judging
Second screening period: Early October 2016
Judging method: Submit a scenario and visual image in line with the proposal submitted for the first round of judging
After an interview with a TCP producer, the TCP secretariat will hold a joint review
・Final judging
Final judging: Thursday, November 10, 2016
Venue: Ebisu Garden Hall
Judging method: Presentation of the plan in front of the final judges
