CCC Marketing Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Noritake Takeda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC Marketing"), a database marketing company, will begin offering "Partner Categories," a Facebook advertising targeting delivery solution that uses category data estimated from actual purchasing behavior held by CCC Marketing, from September 1st.
This solution makes it possible to generate and deliver categories that could not be achieved with conventional online behavior data alone, such as "interests" and "purchasing trends" estimated from purchasing behavior in physical stores. In addition, by combining this data with Facebook's demographic data, online behavior data, various ad formats (videos, photos), or placements (Facebook, Instagram), the relevance (affinity) of ads to users can be increased, and greater advertising effectiveness can be expected.
In a proof-of-concept experiment conducted prior to the launch of the service, a campaign by a major beverage manufacturer showed a more significant increase in advertising awareness compared to the control group (non-targeting). Furthermore, purchase intention was also higher compared to the control group (non-targeting), confirming that the partner category is effective in reaching a more promising customer demographic.
The CTR (click-through rate), a traditional advertising indicator, was approximately doubled, and among those in their 30s and older, who are assumed to have a high affinity with the campaign, the results more than doubled in proportion to their age.
To provide this solution, CCC Marketing has signed a data partnership agreement with Facebook Inc. (headquarters: California, USA; CEO: Mark Zuckerberg), making this the first time the solution has been offered in Japan. CCC Marketing will continue to sell this solution, primarily to manufacturers of consumer goods such as food, beverages, and toiletries.
