(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO:Kazuo Nakanishi/ hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA), which operates 1,478 TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will be issuing T-CARD with a Natsume's Book of Friends design in TSUTAYA stores from Wednesday, October 19, 2016, to commemorate the start of the fifth season of the TV anime "Natsume's Book of Friends," which will begin airing on Tuesday, October 4. TSUTAYA Online will begin accepting orders for the book starting today.
This design features the cute, round Nyanko Sensei in a variety of different poses, making it a soothing design that will put your mind at ease just by looking at it.
Additionally, TSUTAYA stores are running a "Natsume's Book of Friends x T-CARD" original small plate giveaway campaign, where customers who issue a T-CARD (Natsume's Book of Friends design), purchase designated comics, or enter online will be entered into a lottery to win an original "Natsume's Book of Friends x T-CARD" small plate, offering gifts tailored to the needs of customers.

This campaign will be held four times in October 2016, February, May, and August 2017, and participants can enter using points accumulated on their T-CARD (Natsume's Book of Friends design).

What is "Natsume's Book of Friends"?
The anime series "Natsume's Book of Friends" is based on the popular manga "Natsume's Book of Friends" (author: Midorikawa Yuki/publisher: Hakusensha), which is currently being serialized in Monthly LaLa (released on the 24th of every month/publisher: Hakusensha). The first season of "Natsume's Book of Friends" was broadcast in July 2008, and has since been broadcast for four seasons, gaining a wider range of fans with each episode. In October 2016, the fifth season of the TV series, "Natsume's Book of Friends 5," will begin airing after a four-year hiatus.
