TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Kazuo Nakanishi / hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), which operates 1,478 TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will be holding a real-life treasure hunt game event for elementary school students, "TSUTAYA x Real Treasure Hunt Halloween Campaign Mystery Solving Mission! Find the Fat Cat!!" at approximately 200 stores nationwide from Saturday, October 8th to Sunday, November 6th, 2016.

This game event is a joint project with "Real Treasure Hunt" by Takarush, Japan's largest treasure hunt event planning and management company with approximately 170,000 members, and can be enjoyed inside TSUTAYA stores. "Real Treasure Hunt" is a program that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is experiential entertainment that transforms the everyday world into an extraordinary one, allowing you to solve the mystery on your own and experience the thrill of discovery.
"Real Treasure Hunts" are held all over the country, and there are a variety of events, from simple treasure hunts where you solve the mystery of a treasure map and discover treasure hidden within a designated area, to detective games where you decipher codes to find the culprit.This time, we have prepared this game as entertainment that children visiting TSUTAYA can enjoy in the store.
The mystery to be solved in the store involves the popular lazy cat character "Fat Cat"* hiding inside the TSUTAYA store. Four of the cats must search for him using clues on a clue sheet, while the remaining cat must complete a papercraft-style map, which can be deciphered to reveal his location.

Once you complete the game, the first 30 people at each store will receive a Halloween-exclusive original "Fat Cat" clear file, and candy on a first-come, first-served basis. *Prizes may vary at some stores.
