Mercedes-Benz Japan Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kintaro Ueno, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "MBJ") and CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Takeda Noburu, Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "CCCMK"), a subsidiary of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), will open the "Mercedes-Benz Future Lounge" at Umeda TSUTAYA BOOKS (Kita-ku, Osaka) for a limited time from October 1st to October 31st, 2016, as part of their collaborative sales promotion efforts.

The "Mercedes-Benz Future Lounge" is an expanded version of the "Mercedes-Benz Lifestyle Lounge," which was open for a limited time from July 13 to September 13, 2016, at Daikanyama T-SITE (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). It is a "showroom without cars" where visitors can experience the Mercedes-Benz brand using futuristic digital tools such as AR (augmented reality), VR (virtual reality) and digital signage. The launch at Daikanyama T-SITE has been well received by many customers, and we have now decided to expand to Osaka.

The "Mercedes-Benz Future Lounge" will offer a variety of content under the theme of "Future Mercedes" that will allow you to get a feel for the "future" of Mercedes-Benz. In addition to the existing "VR content," we will now be offering new "AR content," allowing you to experience our products in a realistic way using digital tools. The store will also feature a huge wall depicting the 130-year history and future of Mercedes-Benz, as well as displays of Mercedes-Benz books and original goods, offering customers a high-quality lifestyle that involves living with a car. In addition, product experts with extensive knowledge of Mercedes-Benz products will be stationed within the lounge to answer any product-related questions customers may have.

In addition, like the "Mercedes-Benz Future Lounge," Mercedes-Benz Connection1 in Osaka will also offer "Future Mercedes" themed content for a limited time from October 1 to December 25, 2016. In addition to product experiences using "VR content" and "AR content," the store will also exhibit the concept car "Vision Tokyo," which is equipped with autonomous driving and connectivity functions, as well as a new generation of compact cars. Our free test drive program, "Trial Cruise," allows you to enjoy a test drive of Mercedes-Benz and Smart vehicles at your leisure.

1. Opened in July 2011 in Roppongi, Tokyo, as a base for disseminating information about the Mercedes-Benz brand, centered around a cafe and restaurant.
