- Aiming to build the largest common platform between Japan and Taiwan -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "CCC") is pleased to announce that it has signed a basic agreement with Far Eastern Group's Ding Ding Integrated Marketing Service Co., Ltd. (Head office: New Taipei City, Taiwan; President: Jin-Lin Liang; hereinafter "DDIM"), operator of HAPPY GO, one of Taiwan's largest shared point services, to form a business alliance to collaborate on the point services of the two companies.

■ Background and purpose of the basic agreement
As of 2015, the number of tourists visiting Japan from Taiwan was 3.79 million per year, the third highest after China and South Korea*1, and it has been announced that this number is expected to double by 2020, when the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held. Meanwhile, the number of tourists visiting Taiwan from Japan exceeded 1.62 million as of 2015*2, and tourism and travel exchanges between Japan and Taiwan are expanding year by year. In this context, the aim of this partnership is to build the largest shared platform between Japan and Taiwan by linking the services of "HAPPY GO," the largest shared points service in Taiwan, used by 14 million people, or approximately 60% of Taiwan's total population, and "T-POINT," the largest shared points service in Japan, used by 60 million people, or approximately 50% of Japan's total population.

■ Future plans
The two companies will continue to hold discussions and consider ways to collaborate on point services in the spring of 2017. Specifically, we plan to provide a mutual exchange of HAPPY GO points to Taiwanese visitors to Japan through the T-POINT platform, and T-POINT to Japanese visitors to Taiwan through the HAPPY GO platform. Furthermore, through this business partnership, the number of T-POINT affiliated stores overseas will increase by approximately 250 times from the current approximately 80 stores to approximately 20,000 stores. We will inform you as soon as the details are decided.

CCC will work to provide alliance and partner companies in Japan with a sales promotion platform and marketing support that responds to expanding inbound consumption, and will also provide Japan's most valuable shared points service to a wide range of generations.
