Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture (Mayor: Kondo Takanori, hereinafter referred to as "Takahashi City") will open the Takahashi City Library, currently under construction in a complex adjacent to JR Bitchu-Takahashi Station, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, with Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (President and CEO:Muneaki Masuda, hereinafter referred to as "CCC") operating the library as the designated manager.

Since the basic agreement was signed in January 2015, we have been working on plans based on Takahashi City's "New Comprehensive Plan - Takahashi Friendly to People, the City, and Nature" with the aim of creating a library that is easier for citizens to use and attracts people.

In order to realize the civic value of "a local community, a space to relax, learning about local products, and learning about the good things about Takahashi," the tourist information center will be relocated within the library, and CCC will open a Book & Cafe-style store under a licensing agreement with Starbucks Coffee Japan Co., Ltd.

We operate a tourist information center adjacent to JR Bitchu Takahashi Station as the face of Takahashi City, and offer a relaxing time to our users under the "Library & Cafe" style where local residents and tourists can enjoy coffee and browse the books in the library.

With the opening scheduled for February 2017, we will continue to plan and implement library services that will be of great value to the public.
