TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Kazuo Nakanishi; hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA") and Tone Mobile Corporation (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Ishida Hiroki; hereinafter referred to as "Tone Mobile") are pleased to announce that the number of TSUTAYA stores nationwide carrying "TONE," the smartphone service provided by Tone Mobile, will reach 50 with the opening of the TSUTAYA Fujimoto Yoshiwara store on Saturday, November 19th.

Tone Mobile is also running a campaign*1 exclusively for new customers, where the monthly basic plan fee of 1,000 yen is waived for three months, as well as a "Parent-Child Discount*2" where, if you sign up for multiple devices under the same name at the same time, the contract administration fee of 3,000 yen and the monthly basic plan fee of 1,000 yen are waived for three months. The campaign can be applied twice, and if you sign up for two devices at the same time, you can save a total of 18,000 yen. In addition, until Sunday, April 30, 2017, customers who sign up for TONE at a TSUTAYA store that handles TONE (excluding some stores *③) will receive a coupon that allows them to rent one old DVD for free each month.

TSUTAYA's smartphone "TONE" aims to be a smartphone service that even beginners can use with confidence. Not only does it offer a reasonable price starting from 1,000 yen per month with unlimited internet use on the Docomo line (LTE)*4, but it also offers a full range of services that make it safe for the whole family and even first-time smartphone users to use with peace of mind, such as features that allow parents to manage their children's app downloads, control usage time, and monitor their location*5, a function that automatically repairs device problems simply by placing the device in the box, and free support at stores and call centers.
