- The first Kansai-based eyeglasses store, "Oh My Glasses TOKYO," the first nationwide shirt atelier, "Pitta Re:," and "MOTHERHOUSE," a store selling bags, jewelry, and fashion accessories, will be opening! -
Umeda TSUTAYA BOOKS, operated by Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC), is undergoing renovations in the fall of 2016 and will open new stores on Wednesday, November 23rd (national holiday), including the Kansai region's first eyewear store, "Oh My Glasses TOKYO," the Japan's first shirt atelier, "Pitta Re:," and the bag, jewelry, and fashion accessories store, "MOTHERHOUSE."Umeda TSUTAYA BOOKS aims to be a place where people can discover new work styles, a concept that speaks to the unique working styles of urban areas, and a place that offers lifestyle suggestions that can be used by business people in their 30s and 40s in particular.
"Oh My Glasses TOKYO" Glasses / First store in Kansai
Quality that can only be achieved through products made in Japan. At Oh My Glasses TOKYO, we carefully produce each pair of glasses at our factory in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, one of the world's three largest eyeglass production areas. We carefully produce our glasses using the reliable craftsmanship that has been cultivated over Sabae's more than 100-year history of eyeglass making.
"Pitta Re:" custom-made shirts / first store in Japan
We offer "elegant multi-functional shirts" for a lifestyle in which the wearer becomes a skilled craftsman or master, and is able to feel individuality, comfort, and beauty. This is a playful, new-concept shirt atelier that caters to the changes and differences in each individual's lifestyle, making it more interesting, fun, and casual for you to experience "true comfort."
"MOTHERHOUSE" Bags, jewelry, and fashion accessories
Motherhouse is a brand that manufactures products using local materials and artisanal techniques in its own factories and workshops in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Indonesia, based on the philosophy of "creating a global brand from a developing country."The store carries products that allow you to feel the warmth of handmade items, such as leather bags with original designs based on nature motifs, plant-dyed stoles, and jewelry made from delicate woven gold and silver threads.

A customer-participation workshop that delves into the "mystery of Umeda TSUTAYA BOOKS."If you take a look around the TSUTAYA BOOKS, which you normally see casually, you'll notice many strange things.
