"While working with my mentor, a CCC employee, on the script, we shared the same desire to let as many people as possible know about the appeal of theater, and I believe this is why we were able to win this award. Also, on a personal note, for the year and a half since I moved to Tokyo, I have been sleeping in the office and still don't have a place to live. This time, I went into the competition with the thought, "If I get results, I'll rent a house," so I'm really glad I was able to achieve them (laughs). "

Jury Chairman's Overall Comments

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. President and CEO Muneaki Masuda
"For over 30 years, we have been internally developing plans to change the world's platforms. In the process, we have accumulated a database and established a membership base, but we may not yet know how to utilize this golden egg. That's why the T-VENTURE PROGRAM was started with the desire to encounter ideas from people outside the company, rather than just coming up with plans within the company.

When I started Daikanyama T-Site, many people opposed it even in internal meetings. In that sense, I don't know if the conference room review was correct. That's why I hope that the companies that did not win this time will also work hard to change the world.

One of my favorite sayings is, "There's a difference between avant-garde and snobbism."
"Avant-garde" is initially popular with a minority audience but eventually becomes accepted by many. In other words, avant-garde. On the other hand, "snobs" see value in being in the minority. I want everyone to be "avant-garde" in the sense that they can move the world forward. I believe that the size of the light that is lit in your hearts today will change the world. "

Comments from the guest judges

"I joined CyberAgent in 2000, and later founded a company that went from listing to delisting, and I have followed the evolution of venture businesses. Here are some of the thoughts I had after listening to the presentations by the speakers today. All entrepreneurs are crazy. I want you to think that being called funny is a compliment. However, as we continue to pursue this goal, we must not forget to look at the business objectively. I want you all to create services that will create the next Japan and have social value. "

"I have served as a judge for many competitions, but today I was overwhelmed by the seriousness of everyone's presentations and the seriousness of the judges' questions. After listening to today's presentations, I was delighted to see the enthusiasm of young people to create new values and turn them into a serious business, and to see that a woman with promising future prospects was awarded the prize. "

"It's been 15 years since I founded JTQ, and I've always been involved in creating spaces. I believe that spaces are made up of people's thoughts, and that the job of a space composer is to bring back memories of the experiences shared with others in that space, and to create opportunities for new inspiration to mature and sprout. There will always be things that make people happy, no matter the era. When we think about the future, there are some dark times, but I think today's presentation provided an opportunity to turn those times into something brighter.
Even if it doesn't immediately bring about a positive outcome, combining different values can sometimes spark a chemical reaction. I would like to use my participation in this event as an opportunity to once again take on the challenge of creating a brighter future. "
