TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Kazuo Nakanishi / hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), which operates the TSUTAYA entertainment store chain nationwide, will begin renting "TSUTAYA rental selection," an album of introductory songs by the six-member rock group Suchmos, which is rapidly gaining popularity, exclusively at TSUTAYA stores nationwide (excluding some stores) from Wednesday, December 21st.

In 2016, Suchmos performed at FUJI ROCK, RISING SUN, and other summer festivals across the country, and has a large fan base among many musicians, as well as in the entertainment and fashion industries, making them one of the most highly-anticipated bands.

"TSUTAYA rental selection" is a TSUTAYA rental-only CD released ahead of the band's second album, "THE KIDS," which is scheduled for release on January 25, 2017. The song lineup includes seven particularly popular songs, including "STAY TUNE," a familiar song from TV commercials.

In addition, "TSUTAYA rental selection" also includes the first recording of a live recording of "STAY TUNE," making it an album that will allow not only fans but also those who have not yet experienced their music to rediscover the appeal of Suchmos.

Suchmos Profile
Formed in January 2013. Suchmos is inspired by black music such as rock, jazz, and hip hop. All members grew up in Kanagawa. Vo. YONCE was born in Chigasaki, Shonan, and represents Chigasaki. They mainly perform at live houses in Tokyo and events in Kanagawa and Shonan.
The band's name comes from Satchmo, the nickname of scat pioneer Louis Armstrong, as a reference to the band being pioneers.
The six-member group consists of YONCE (Vo), HSU (Ba), OK (Dr), TAIKING (Gt), KCEE (Dj), and TAIHEI (Key), who share a common vibe.
