- Meet Funassyi at "Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2017 ~Japanese Festivals and Tastes of Hometown~"!!-

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), a CCC Group company that operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, and Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CE"), which operates entertainment businesses such as the planning and production of movies, music, and publishing, will be issuing the "T-CARD (Funassyi design)" at TSUTAYA stores nationwide from Friday, January 13, 2017. Additionally, advance reservations will begin on the TSUTAYA website from 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.

Starting Saturday, January 7, 2017, Tokyo Dome will be hosting the "Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2017," a grand festival that brings together Japan's most traditional festivals and local flavors. The event will offer the "T Ticket" service, which will allow you to use your T-CARD as an admission ticket. This event brings together festivals from all over Japan, including the Hachinohe Horei Kagura, which is held as part of the float event at the Hachinohe Sansha Festival and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage this year, as well as seafood and mountain produce from all over the country, local gourmet food, ramen, bento boxes, sweets, and local sake.

Funassyi, the "pear fairy" and unofficial mascot character who lives in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, and is active in a variety of activities including appearing at local revitalization events as a talent, singer, and voice actor, will be appearing at the "Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2017," for which T-CARD will provide ticket services. In response to this, Funassyi and T-CARD have collaborated to issue T-CARDs with a Funassyi design. The "T-CARD (Funassyi design)" will also be issued at the special booth at "Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2017" only on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
