-A joint project to discover and support manga creators, with the Grand Prize winner selected from 12 works-

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Kazuo Nakanishi / hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA), which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, and Echoes Inc. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Serida Osamu), which operates the manga submission site "Manga Hack," will jointly host the "Manga Hack Awards 2016," in which readers will vote to determine the grand prize winner from among the manga submitted to "Manga Hack" in 2016, with the aim of discovering and supporting excellent manga works that are not yet known to the world.

The manga submission site "Manga Hack" won the "TSUTAYA Award" at the final judging session of the "T-VENTURE PROGRAM," the third collaboration and support program for venture companies run by the CCC Group, held on December 1st, and the "Manga Hack Grand Prize 2016" will be the first project of this collaboration.

The Manga Hack Grand Prize 2016 is an event being held for the first time this year, in which the Manga Hack editorial department selects 12 works from the many manga submitted to the manga submission site Manga Hack, and then the public votes to determine the "Face of Manga Hack 2016."

The winning works will receive support from both TSUTAYA and Echoes (backup for serialization and comic book adaptation, advice on the works from the Manga Hack editorial department and TSUTAYA bookstore staff, etc.), and TSUTAYA will provide a total of 100,000 T-POINT (equivalent to 100,000 yen) as a prize. We are also considering measures unique to TSUTAYA, such as holding an original art exhibition and setting up special spaces to sell limited edition award-winning comics, by utilizing TSUTAYA stores nationwide.

Through their joint hosting of the Manga Hack Awards 2016, TSUTAYA and Echoes will continue to support the creative work of creators active in Manga Hack, providing opportunities for more people to enjoy excellent manga works.

　The winners of the Manga Hack Grand Prize will receive support for their winning works from TSUTAYA and Echoes, and will also receive the following prizes from TSUTAYA. There will also be a prize draw for voters.
　
■1st place: Grand Prize T-POINT 50,000 points
■ 2nd place: Runner-up T-POINT 20,000 points
■ 3rd to 5th place: Selected T-POINT 3,000 points each

We will award 1,000 T-POINT (equivalent to 1,000 yen) to 21 lucky winners who vote for their favorite work, 1) follow the official Manga Hack account (@mangahack), and 2) post on Twitter with the hashtag "#MangaHackGrandPrize."
