Messages from Voters

●Script, video, voice acting, music. It's amazing no matter where you look.
I've always been a fan of director Shinkai, so I'm a little sad that he made his national debut with this film, but I hope he will continue to lead Japanese animation in the future!
"Your Name."』

●It was simply beautiful. The visuals, the story, the dialogue, the acting, and the music. Those synchronicities too.
The beauty and pleasure made me feel a tingling sensation deep in my chest several times.
I like movies, but I prefer reading, so I don't often find myself immersed in the worlds of other people's films as much as I do in the fantasies that arise from my own imagination when reading a book. However, I felt that this film gave me an experience that could only be had through a film for the first time in a long time.
"Your Name."』

●Above all, this is the film I was most engrossed in this year!!
It's a work that really shows "Japaneseness" in both good and bad ways.
It was a film that I would like foreigners to see, so that they can get to know "Japanese people" in a way that goes beyond just the image of samurai, ninjas, and anime.
Shin Godzilla

There are scenes that remind me of the Godzilla movies I went to see with my father a long time ago.
A story that you can enjoy as an adult.
The new Godzilla visuals and the efforts of the Self-Defense Forces were appealing.
Shin Godzilla

●I was able to experience a mysterious and inexplicable emotion that I had never experienced before.
The depictions are detailed, very careful and beautiful, and although the story may seem ordinary, it is actually very deep and rich, and every time you watch it you will discover something new and be moved. Kotoringo's insert song and Suzu's voice blend into the film and resonate in the heart. It was the first time I'd ever seen a movie that moved me so much that it continued to wash over me even days after I got home. I honestly don't know why I'm so impressed. It was an exhausting movie that required all my heart and soul. It's a truly mysterious movie. I'm amazed that they were able to make something like this. I saw the greatest masterpiece of my life. I'm grateful to the people who made it and the cinema.
"In This Corner of the World"

●I thought it was aimed at children, but it was a sensational film with laughter, tears, and action. It's not racism, but it seems to be replacing the negative concepts that still exist in the world today with carnivorous and herbivorous animals, and conveying the message that we shouldn't judge people by their appearance. It may sound like an exaggeration, but I think it's a masterpiece that can be passed down to future generations.
Zootopia

●My longing for space is becoming more and more real. In the film, bacteria are used to grow vegetables from human waste. Scientists use their wisdom and focus all their time and effort on the goal of survival. I felt there were infinite possibilities and thought it was a wonderful fantasy film.
The Odyssey

●The story is exciting just from hearing about the idea of popular heroes, each playing their own leading role, battling fiercely on the same screen. There is a good reason for fighting, and what's more, the plot twists that are common in this type of justice vs. justice story, but they are a pleasant surprise. It's fun to watch no matter how many times.
Captain America: Civil War

●A film that will move you to tears no matter how many times you watch it, filled with brotherly love. Every time I watch it, my attachment to this work and the emotions I feel grow deeper. Great friends, great family, and great songs. Furthermore, each line is captivating, making this a truly wonderful piece of work.
"Sing Street: Songs for the Future"

●I've always loved Deadpool, and now that it's finally been made into a movie, I've watched it so many times! Both the dubbed and subtitled versions have their own merits and are wonderful. I want more people to know about Deadpool's coolness and playful cuteness.
