TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), a CCC Group company that operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, and Culture Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "CE"), which operates entertainment businesses such as the planning and production of movies, music, and publishing, will begin issuing the "T Card (with The Rose of Versailles design)" at TSUTAYA stores nationwide from Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Additionally, advance orders will be accepted on the TSUTAYA website starting today.

"The Rose of Versailles" was serialized in "Weekly Margaret" published by Shueisha Inc. from 1972 to 1973, and is a masterpiece by manga artist Riyoko Ikeda, with cumulative sales exceeding 15 million copies, and has been adapted into a stage play by the Takarazuka Revue, a TV anime, and a live-action film. Set in the late Bourbon dynasty of France, from the end of Louis XV's reign to the French Revolution, the film depicts the love lives of the main characters, Antoinette and Oscar, as well as the tragedy of Oscar being at the mercy of the French Revolution, and has captured the hearts of many female fans. In 2016, "The Rose of Versailles 1972-73 [Deluxe Limited Edition]" was published, which for the first time included all the frontispieces and other illustrations in full B5 size as they were when serialized in magazines, and it is a girls' comic that continues to be popular even today.

To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the series' serialization, a collaboration between "The Rose of Versailles" and T-Card has been realized. All cover illustrations are included for the first time in the size they were in when serialized, and all color pages have also been reprinted. Additionally, it comes with a gallery full of cover art, preview cuts, and related illustrations from when the series was serialized, and each volume comes in a luxurious hardcover with gold foil stamping.
