MEDIROM and CCC Marketing reach basic agreement on business and capital alliance in the marketing field

MEDIROM Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koji Eguchi; hereinafter "MEDIROM") and CCC Marketing Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Noriyuki Takeda; hereinafter "CCC Marketing") are pleased to announce that they have entered into a memorandum of understanding regarding a business alliance and capital alliance in the field of marketing.

1. Background and purpose of the basic agreement
MEDIROM provides consistent support in fields ranging from health promotion to medical care through the operation of relaxation stores, which have the largest number of stores in Tokyo*1, and the development of healthcare IT. Meanwhile, CCC Marketing is developing a database marketing business targeting retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and other businesses, based on a wide variety of lifestyle data spanning both real-world and online life of 61.32 million people, approximately half of Japan's population*2.
Through this partnership, the two companies will organically combine their assets to explore the possibilities of collaboration in the database marketing business, such as creating new marketing businesses and developing services.

2. Details of the basic agreement
・Planning and development of new marketing services
・Planning and developing new stores as a joint venture between the two companies
・CCC Marketing's investment in Medirom
