TSUTAYA Co., Ltd.

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Nakanishi Kazuo / hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), which operates entertainment stores nationwide, has partnered with crowdfunding sites "GREEN FUNDING by T-SITE" and "Makuake" to set up a corner to sell crowdfunded products at the Startup Cafe Osaka, located next to TSUTAYA BOOK STORE Umeda MeRISE, from Friday, February 17th, with the aim of supporting creators.

The CCC Group, including TSUTAYA, has supported startups through the operation of the "Startup Cafe" startup support bases in Fukuoka and Osaka, and has collaborated with many startups through the "T-VENTURE PROGRAM," a business support program for venture companies. Additionally, since July 2015, we have been actively supporting creators' creative activities through the CCC Group's crowdfunding platform, "GREEN FUNDING by T-SITE."

This initiative will focus on supporting creators who are trying their hand at manufacturing, and will focus on selling products at TSUTAYA BOOK STORE Umeda MeRISE, which also houses Startup Cafe Osaka. By collaborating with two companies that operate crowdfunding platforms, we will be able to sell products that have completed fundraising and become available for sale in our store corners, thereby proposing a lifestyle that is "one step ahead" with cutting-edge products.

Starting Friday, February 17th, we will begin gradually rolling out products in collaboration with "GREEN FUNDING by T-SITE" and "Makuake."Going forward, we will continue to support creators, even those projects that are still raising funds, by providing opportunities for them to exhibit and experience their products in physical stores.

Going forward, TSUTAYA and the CCC Group will continue to provide one-stop support to project initiators attempting crowdfunding, from soliciting support for their projects to sales support, thereby enriching the lives of our customers and providing them with the excitement of discovering new things.
