Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. / Mistletoe Co., Ltd. / T-KIDS Co., Ltd.

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC) and Mistletoe Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Taizo Son; hereinafter referred to as Mistletoe), which operates a startup incubation business that solves the challenges of the 21st century, have established T-KIDS Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kayo Obana; hereinafter referred to as T-KIDS) to realize the "new educational platform business for children" that the two companies have been envisioning for some time. As its first project, the "T-KIDS Share School" will be launched at Kashiwanoha T-SITE (Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture), which will open on March 2, 2017.

With the advent of the Internet and the rapid evolution and development of technology, it is said that many of today's children will take on completely new jobs in the future. Furthermore, looking at the world at large, it seems that there is a demand for a shift in traditional values and lifestyles, and in this climate, themes related to "new education" and "new ways of living" are increasingly common in the education industry and the media, and I feel that people's interest in "education" is on the rise.

Since its founding, CCC has always offered new lifestyle suggestions through culture, including movies, music, and books. Led by Taizo Son, a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, Mistletoe supports startups and undertakes projects that create innovations that defy conventional wisdom and convention. We thought that by teaming up, the two companies could offer new perspectives and ideas to the education industry. We have been discussing this matter for some time, and last year we established a new company, T-KIDS Co., Ltd., which led to the opening of the ``T-KIDS Shared School.''

The first "T-KIDS Share School" will be located on the Kashiwanoha Campus, where Kashiwanoha T-SITE is located. This is a very advanced city in Japan where the public, private and academic sectors are working together to take the lead in creating an urban environment, and it is being developed as a "city that will create a vision for the future of the world."The population is made up of families in their 30s and 40s, accounting for approximately 30% of the total, which is outstanding compared to other regions. As such, we saw great potential for this area as a place to develop a new business that proposes a new lifestyle for parents and children, and chose it as the first base for this project.

"T-KIDS Share School" offers a new 21st century learning environment that goes beyond traditional forms of education. Children living in unpredictable times need the "ability to learn independently" to carve out their own future even in difficult environments, and we believe that this is the new type of learning for the 21st century. This platform, designed to develop children's "independent learning abilities," brings together over 20 unique schools and teachers, offering classes in a wide variety of genres, including technology, inquiry/science/math, English/foreign languages, culture/art, physical education, and baby/toddler classes (for infants, mothers, and young children). There are two types of classes: "continuous classes" that you attend regularly, such as once a week or once a month, and "event classes" that you can attend casually on a one-off basis, and you can freely combine and choose between them.

With the catchphrase "All new learning is here," T-KIDS will provide new learning opportunities for children who will live in the future at the "T-KIDS Shared School," where a variety of unique teachers gather. We also hope to continue to utilize the assets and ideas of CCC and Mistletoe to proactively make new proposals regarding children's education.
