ーStudents starting a new life = "ReLIFE" this spring can apply with a student ID or health insurance card!ー

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Kazuo Nakanishi / hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA"), which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, is running a "ReLIFE" support project at TSUTAYA stores nationwide to commemorate the theatrical release of the film "ReLIFE" on Saturday, April 15th, the first film project by Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CE"), a group company that operates entertainment businesses such as planning and producing videos, publishing, and music.

Student ID and health insurance card enrollment now accepted

Until now, when signing up for TSUTAYA Rental, you were required to present a separate "address verification document" in addition to a student ID or health insurance card. However, in response to customer feedback, you can now sign up with just your student ID or health insurance card, and start using the rental service from the day you sign up (*). This will allow more people, including students, to enjoy "ReLIFE," a new way of life through TSUTAYA entertainment.
*You will later be required to present address verification documents (① mail addressed to you ② receipts for utility bills, etc.) or the address verification postcard given to you at the counter when you joined. A valid student ID must have a photo, name, date of birth, and school address printed on it.

The TSUTAYA Cinema Handbook 2017 and TSUTAYA CLUB MAGAZINE (March 20th issue) feature interviews with popular young actors, Taishi Nakagawa and Yuna Taira, who co-star in the film ReLIFE. The title of this work, "ReLIFE," is a simulated youth experience in which you live high school life again, but as your current self (i.e., as an adult inside). The coming-of-age drama that unfolds within the ReLIFE lifestyle, the interwoven human relationships, and the pure love stories have been well-received by readers of all ages as a story that can be relatable to people of all ages. The live-action film adaptation of this work will be directed by Ken Furusawa, who also directed "Love Begins Today," and will bring you a new world of "ReLIFE" in a live-action version with an original ending.
The main character, Arata Kaizaki, in this film will be played by Taishi Nakagawa, one of the most talked-about young actors today, who has appeared in a number of popular films, including the NHK Taiga drama "Sanada Maru," and the films "Your Lie in April" and "Kira-kun Today."Nakagawa, 18, who has been talked about as the busiest high school student actor in Japan, will take on the roles of a 17-year-old and a 27-year-old. And the role of Chizuru Hishiro, the extremely clumsy high school girl whom Kaizaki meets and falls in love with during ReLIFE, will be played by Yuna Taira, an actress whose popularity is rapidly increasing after appearing in the film "Kiseki: Sobito of That Day."To suit the role, she cut her bangs short and co-starred with Nakagawa. Would you like to start your life over?
The main character, Arata Kaizaki, is 27 years old. Currently a NEET. After graduating from graduate school, he resigned from the company he joined after only three months. After that, he continued working part-time at a convenience store without being able to find another job. When invited to a drinking party by a friend from college, he put on a suit and pretended to be a salaryman. Suddenly, a mysterious man appears before him.
"Would you like to start your life over again?"
A mysterious man named Ryo Yoake, who claims to be a member of the "ReLIFE Research Institute," proposes that he be the subject of an experiment in which he will use a drug to make himself look younger and live the life of a high school student for a year. Half-desperate, Kaizaki ends up taking the medicine.
The unexpected beginning of a 27-year-old boy's youthful school life...
And so begins his second school life. There he meets a diverse group of unique characters, including Chizuru Hishiro, a high school girl who is top of her class but has terrible communication skills, Kazuomi Ogami, who is smart and good-looking but disappointing in other ways, and Reina Kariu, a competitive and sharp-tongued girl. Kaizaki eventually begins to open up to them. Before they know it, they have become irreplaceable friends. Meanwhile, he begins to fall in love with the hardworking Hishiro, but the girl he falls in love with is a high school girl 10 years younger than him. Once the experiment is over, the memories will be erased... How will this sad love story end?
And what new future will Kaizaki choose after his ReLIFE? The story reaches a surprising and moving conclusion.
