T Point Japan Co., Ltd.
-T Card's social value creation project, "T Card Everyone's Social Project," Part 2-
T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Kitamura Kazuhiko) launched the "T Card Everyone's Social Project" last year, a social value creation project for T Card that utilizes over 60 million T members, 170 T Point Alliance companies, and approximately 4 billion pieces of purchasing data provided by the T Card to implement initiatives that will lead to solving social issues facing local communities and promoting regional coexistence.
We are pleased to announce that the second part of the "T Card Everyone's Social Project"*1, "Reborn-Art Festival x T Card," will be held from June 2, 2017. This project is an effort to connect the future of children with the local community, continuing the concept of the "Tohoku Support Project" which has been running since 2011 to support the smiles of children and community spaces in Tohoku.
The Reborn-Art Festival (hereinafter referred to as "RAF") is a new festival held mainly in the Oshika area of Ishinomaki where you can enjoy art, music, and food. The Ishinomaki/Oshika area was one of the areas that suffered major damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. The aim is for this venue to be a place where contemporary artists from Japan and abroad can visit and create works while interacting with the local community, where famous chefs from all over Japan can encounter local people and ingredients, where they can enjoy food that can only be tasted here, and where various styles of music events can be held, creating a place where various "encounters" can be created. T Point Japan is sympathetic to the concept of "RAF" and has decided to participate.
The "Reborn-Art Festival x T Card" project is a collaboration with Ishinomaki City, the host city of the "RAF," to create an art and music festival that both adults and children can participate in. The project involves children of Ishinomaki taking the lead in creating artworks that will be rooted in the local community and serve as a source of regional revitalization for the future. Specifically, starting June 5th, we will be calling for participation from children at Ishinomaki City Children's Center "Raitsu"*2, who will create and exhibit art works planned and designed by the children in the Oshika area of Ishinomaki, which will be the venue for "RAF."Going forward, we will move forward with this project with the cooperation of goen°, led by art director Chie Morimoto, who will act as observers of the children's art creations.
In addition, as part of the utilization of the T Card infrastructure, we will issue a social contribution T Card, where a portion of the T Card issuance fee and half of the T Points earned by using the card will be used to cover production costs. The overall design of this T-Card will be handled by goen°. Additionally, T Ticket, a service that turns your T Card into a ticket, will begin a lottery advance sale for the Reborn-Art Festival 2017 x ap bank fes from June 6th.
T Point Japan aims to make T Points and T Cards "cultural infrastructure that connects people, and people and society," and will continue to work to create new social value.
