-Artworks by children of Ishinomaki unveiled at Reborn-Art Festival-
T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Kazuhiko Kitamura) is working on the "Reborn-Art Festival x T Card" as part of T Card's social value creation project, "T Card Everyone's Social Project"*1. Culture Entertainment Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nakanishi Kazuo) is pleased to announce that it will be issuing a social contribution T-Card in collaboration with Reborn-Art Festival (hereinafter referred to as "RAF").
"Reborn-Art Festival x T Card" is an initiative that brings together not only adults but also children to participate in RAF, a festival of art, music, and food. Children from Ishinomaki, where RAF is held, will take the lead in creating artworks that are rooted in the local community and will serve as a source of regional revitalization for the future.
The social contribution T-Card that will be issued this time will use a portion of the card issuance fee and half of the T-Points earned by using the card to support art projects undertaken by children. The card design was created by goen°, led by Chie Morimoto, and is based on the key visual for the music festival "Reborn-Art Festival 2017 × ap bank fes" held at RAF. The T-Card will be available on a special website from July 12, 2017, at 25 TSUTAYA stores in Miyagi Prefecture and Daikanyama T-Site from July 21, and at the venue of the "Reborn-Art Festival 2017 × ap bank fes" (Michinoku Mori-no-Umi Park), which will be held from July 28 to 30.
Prior to the issuance of the T-Cards, a planning workshop was held over two days from June 24th to 25th, where children themselves came up with concepts for the art works to be exhibited at RAF. Six children from Ishinomaki ranging in age from fourth grade elementary school to third grade high school participated in this workshop. They learned about the history of the area while touring the Oshika district of Ishinomaki, where the artworks were to be installed, and used their imaginations to think about the oyster and scallop shells that had washed up on the beach. They all worked together to discuss what kind of artwork would be unique to Ishinomaki that would revitalize the area, and then created a prototype. RAF founder Takeshi Kobayashi and art director Chie Morimoto also participated in the workshop, and based on the children's ideas, the themes for the art works to be exhibited at RAF were decided to be "sea creature objects made from seashells" and "a tower used for Bon Odori festivals."During the RAF period, which begins on July 22nd, we plan to hold workshops at the RAF venue (Ishinomaki/Oshika area) where children from Ishinomaki will gather to create art pieces.
In addition, support through the Social Contribution T Card will continue to be used for workshops and other initiatives that allow children to experience art, even next year, when RAF is not being held.
Additionally, T-Ticket, a service that turns your T-Card into a ticket, will begin selling tickets to the RAF music festival "Reborn-Art Festival 2017 × ap bank fes" (held July 28th - July 30th) on its sales website from July 1st.
T Point Japan aims to make T Points and T Cards "cultural infrastructure that connects people, and people and society," and will continue to work to create new social value.

Overview of "Reborn-Art Festival 2017"
This is a new comprehensive arts festival that takes place mainly in the Ishinomaki and Oshika areas, where you can enjoy art, music, and food. The Ishinomaki/Oshika area was one of the areas that suffered major damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. The aim is for this venue to be a place where contemporary artists from Japan and abroad can visit and create works while interacting with the local community, where famous chefs from all over Japan can encounter local people and ingredients, where they can enjoy food that can only be tasted here, and where various styles of music events can be held, creating a place where various "encounters" can be created.

Comment from Takeshi Kobayashi
The children who participated in this workshop were all very expressive, and I was able to gain a lot of ideas from them. It is a valuable opportunity for us to have the children of Ishinomaki participate in the Reborn-Art Festival, and we are very pleased. I thought that this would be a very good project because there were children who were willing to participate and had a positive attitude towards it. I hope that many people will support this workshop and participate in this card program.
Comment from Chie Morimoto
In this workshop, the children were able to use unique materials they picked up on the beach and the ideas they excitedly came up with, and like a string of beads, they were able to form a plan. Next time, I hope to get many children to participate and create a huge symbol made up of a large number of natural elements, creating a beautiful piece of art that will be enjoyable and enriching for everyone who comes to see it. The front of the card represents the bonds that music creates, with musical instruments and patterns depicting scenes from RAF and ap bank fes, such as people singing on stage and the natural flowers of Ishinomaki. Please play the music of joy with this T Card.
*1 This initiative utilizes over 60 million T members, 170 T Point Alliance companies, and approximately 4 billion purchase data points provided by the T Card to solve social issues facing local communities and promote regional coexistence.
