"TSUTAYA Premium" service launches nationwide today, October 2nd, offering unlimited access to 100,000 video titles via DVD rental and video streaming starting at 1,000 yen per month

- The ultimate video service is born, combining in-store and online services -

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Nakanishi Kazuo / hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA") will officially launch a new service, "TSUTAYA Premium," which combines in-store rentals and video streaming services, at TSUTAYA stores nationwide from today, Monday, October 2nd.

"TSUTAYA Premium" is a new service from TSUTAYA that combines the best of both stores and the internet. Starting at 1,000 yen per month, it allows unlimited rental of DVDs and Blu-rays (excluding new and recent releases) in stores with no return deadlines or extension fees, and also includes access to TSUTAYA's video streaming service "TSUTAYA TV," offering unlimited viewing of a total of 100,000 video titles (90,000 for in-store rentals and 20,000 for video streaming, excluding duplicates).
(Some stores do not offer this service. Monthly fees vary depending on the store. )

This service has been available in advance at select stores since Monday, September 4th, but due to positive feedback from customers, it will be fully launched at approximately 800 TSUTAYA stores nationwide from today. We plan to continue expanding the number of stores that will implement this system, with the aim of implementing it in all TSUTAYA stores.

Many video titles have not been digitized and are not available for viewing on streaming services, so by making the store's rental DVD/Blu-ray titles available for unlimited rental, we will provide our customers with the opportunity to discover a wide range of great titles. We are also currently producing original "TSUTAYA TV" content, and will gradually expand our lineup of content.

The service fee is a fixed monthly fee, with no return deadlines or extension fees, and there are no renewal fees for annual rental fees, making it easy for customers to understand. You can easily apply for the service at the store counter or at the self-checkout. (Some stores do not have self-checkouts.)

In the future, in addition to the unlimited video rental service, we will expand ``TSUTAYA Premium'' to include various functions and services that will please TSUTAYA customers.

1) Stores: Unlimited DVD/Blu-ray rentals at TSUTAYA stores (excluding new and recent releases)
2) Online: Video streaming service "TSUTAYA TV" All-you-can-watch eligible titles
・Other: There are no return deadline/extension fees. In addition, rental renewal fees will be waived.
