Mobile T Card now supports Android Pay

T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Kitamura Kazuhiko) is pleased to announce that starting October 2, 2017, the Mobile T Card (barcode) will be compatible with Android Pay, a digital wallet service for smartphones provided by Google.

This initiative follows the expansion of stores that support the Mobile T Card service, which began on August 15th, and is part of the mobile shift strategy to make all T Card functions and services compatible with smartphones, and will also support Android Pay.

By setting up a mobile T card on your Android smartphone and presenting the barcode at stores that accept the mobile T card, such as FamilyMart, Welcia, Gusto, and TSUTAYA, you can earn and use T points. Additionally, at stores that accept T-Money, you can use both T-Points and T-Money at the same time by presenting the barcode once.

T Point Japan will continue to consolidate all customer touchpoints onto smartphones, aiming to propose new lifestyles to its more than 60 million customers across Japan.

Overview of Mobile T-Card on Android Pay

■ Service start date: Monday, October 2, 2017
■How to use: You can use it by logging in to the Android Pay registration page on the T site [T Points/T Card] with the Yahoo! JAPAN ID to which your T Card number is registered and completing the necessary procedures. After completing the procedure, launch the "Android Pay" app and your mobile T-Card (barcode) will appear on the screen. By presenting the barcode at the store, you can earn and use T points.
