Tokuma Shoten Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tokuma Shoten), a group company of Culture Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter referred to as C.E.), a CCC Group company involved in the planning and production of films, publishing, and music, will be publishing the novel version of the popular novel "A Woman Who Loves Lies," starring Nagasawa Masami and Takahashi Issei, from December 1st.
The film "A Woman Who Loves Lies" is the first Grand Prix winner of the "TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM (TCP)," a program run by C.E. and TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (TSUTAYA) to discover new video creators, and is the first original project from the program to be made into a film.
The novel version of "A Woman Who Loves Lies" being published this time is written by Okabe Etsuko, an up-and-coming novelist whose book "Zanka Ryoran" was adapted into the TBS drama "Beautiful Trap - Zanka Ryoran" (starring Tanaka Rena), and has garnered much attention. The novel carefully captures the feelings of the protagonists Yukari (Nagasawa Masami) and Kippei (Takahashi Issei), which could not be fully expressed in film, and takes a different approach from the film to reveal a certain important truth.
Tokuma Shoten has decided to publish the novel version in support of TCP's purpose of "discovering talented creators of the future, creating a place where new talent can be born, and creating an environment where creators can meet and work widely."
Through our planning and editing capabilities as a comprehensive publisher, we will propose new ways to present the world of films and further convey the appeal of the works.

【story】
Her appearance is the ideal that women all over the world aspire to. Kawahara Yukari (Nagasawa Masami), a career woman who works at the forefront of the food manufacturing industry, has been living with her caring boyfriend, Koide Kippei (Takahashi Issei), a medical researcher, for five years. One day, while Yukari was waiting for Kippei to come home late, a police officer suddenly showed up.
"Who the hell is he?"
Kippei is found collapsed and unconscious due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage. It turns out that all of his driver's licenses and medical licenses were forged, and that not only his occupation but even his name was a lie.
Shocked at having been deceived for so long and unable to shake off the question of "who he is," Yukari decides to become a private detective.
They decide to turn to Umihara Takumi (Yoshida Kotaro) for help. Eventually, they find a 700-page unfinished novel that Kippei had been writing.
It contained several hints that reminded people of their hometowns, as well as pictures of a happy family.
With Umihara's help, Yukari learns that the location is somewhere in the Seto Inland Sea, and sets out to uncover Kippei's secret...
Why did Kippei have to lie about everything and deceive Yukari?
And will she be able to discover the true identity of the "nameless man" who is still sleeping in the hospital?
