- Five TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE stores are scheduled to open in Taiwan by the end of 2018 -

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA) and its subsidiary Taiwan Tien Tien Car Market Sales Co., Ltd. opened the TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama Ekimae store, their second store in Taiwan, a lifestyle-oriented BOOK&CAFE that combines a bookstore and a cafe, in Building 2 of CITY LINK Matsuyama, a commercial facility operated by their Taiwanese partner company, RUENTEX GROUP, on November 24, 2017.

Furthermore, the store will be integrated with WIRED TOKYO, a cafe and restaurant run by Cafe Company Co., Ltd., to create a space where Taiwanese customers can choose a book over a cup of coffee or a drink and discover a lifestyle that suits them. By valuing the time and space to choose a book, the store aims to stimulate the creativity of the people of Taiwan, provide new reading styles and exciting experiences, and become a special place loved by many.

Features of "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama Ekimae Store"

1) BOOK & CAFE where you can relax and read while drinking tea or coffee.
There is also terrace seating where you can relax with your pet.

At BOOK&CAFE, you can enjoy a wide selection of teas from LUVOND TEA SALON, carefully selected from around the world, or coffee from WIRED COFFEE ROASTERS while leisurely browsing through books in the cafe space, or relax with friends over a drink. We also have 24 terrace seats where you can relax with your pet while enjoying tea or coffee.

2) Proposing Chinese, Japanese, and Western books by lifestyle category, focusing on "food" and "fashion"

By offering 20,000 Chinese, Japanese and Western books, primarily focusing on "food" and "fashion," as well as lifestyle categories such as "travel" and "art," the library aims to stimulate the creativity of Taiwanese customers and provide them with new reading styles and exciting experiences.

3) Specializing in Japanese stationery and miscellaneous goods, with a focus on TSUTAYA and Tsutaya Bookstore's private brand products

The stationery and miscellaneous goods in the store are sourced exclusively from TSUTAYA's private stationery brand "HEDERA" and miscellaneous goods brand "Lelierre," as well as Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore's private products, as well as eyeglass frames from "Oh My Glasses TOKYO," which boast high quality craftsmanship by artisans in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, as well as miscellaneous goods by famous designers, highly functional stationery, and miscellaneous goods made using Japan's excellent technology.

4) Bringing the deliciousness of Japan to Taiwanese customers

We have put together a selection of "Japanese delicacies" with the aim of connecting Japan and Taiwan through cuisine. We offer original Taiwanese dishes using Japanese ingredients such as mentaiko, bonito flakes, and soybean flour.
